Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) or called Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) is one of the commonly used anionic surfactants. It is the main component of detergent. As a foaming agent, it is widely used in toothpaste, soap, shower gel, shampoo, washing powder, and cosmetics. 95% of personal skin care products and household cleaning products contain sodium lauryl sulfate.
